Accelerated Reader (AR)
AR is a reading incentive program that motivates students to read more books. Each student has an individual AR points goal to meet. Students can reach this goal by reading a book and taking a quiz over the material read. Elgin Elementary has thousands of quizzes available that correspond with books in the library collections.
BoxTops 4 Education
Please help the library raise more funds to purchase books, materials, and AR quizzes. Each BoxTop is worth 10 cents and they add up quickly! Cut along the pink dotted line shown in the picture above and place the BoxTops in a plastic baggie. Then, write the student and teacher names on the outside and turn it in to either library. Names will be drawn for a prize each week from those students who turned in BoxTops! Also, check out the What's New Page to see other ways to earn Box Tops. :)

Scholastic Book Fair
Fall 2016 BookFair will be held in November in the 3rd-6th Grade Library in the 6th grade building. Spring 2017 BookFair will be held in February in the Lower Elementary Library in the Lower Elementary Building. Both Bookfairs benefit both libraries and all Pre-K through 6th grade classrooms.
